Our Work
Westside Forward is a growing, volunteer-led organization. Our work continues to evolve as members develop ways to put our adopted vision and mission into practice.
Through the November 3 election, our primary focus is voter education, neighborhood outreach, and community events. Westside Forward members have not yet adopted a detailed post-election program. This page will be updated as the organization establishes its next priorities and plans.
2026 voter guide and neighborhood outreach
Westside Forward has published a voter guide presenting our analysis and recommendations on selected San Francisco, regional, and California ballot measures.
Through Election Day, volunteers will share the guide with residents across the westside and provide opportunities for neighbors to learn about the measures and participate in the election.
No Kings: Vote Early — Westside Festival
When: Saturday, October 17, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Where: Upper Great Highway and Judah (Sunset Dunes Park)
Celebrate community power and protect the vote at our Westside Voter Information Festival! As part of the national No Kings Day: Vote Early mobilization, we’re coming together to defend democracy, promote early voting and protect the vote.

- 📚 Information and resource tables
- 🤝 Family-friendly activities and community building
Neighbors, families, and friends of all ages are welcome. Come celebrate our right to vote, meet others in the community, and help build a movement rooted in democracy, solidarity, and collective action.
This event is part of the national No Kings: Vote Early mobilization, building on the thousands of No Kings events that brought together more than 10 million people in March. Together, we are growing a movement capable of protecting our democracy.

Bay Resistance action pod
Westside Forward serves as an action pod of Bay Resistance (opens in a new tab), connecting our community work on San Francisco’s westside with a powerful network of community organizations, unions and neighborhood groups and residents organizing to defend our communities and defeat fascism in the Bay Area.
Through this relationship, Westside Forward shares regional information and provides a neighborhood-based way for residents to learn about coordinated Bay Area activities.
